Duncanville is a Dallas County city of 40,706 people (2020 Census) that calls itself the City of Champions. It was incorporated in 1947, and during the Cold War the Duncanville Air Force Station directed four Nike-Hercules missile sites protecting Dallas–Fort Worth. Today it is a settled, fully urban suburb in the Best Southwest area, with 14,227 housing units and very few empty homes, so most moves out of Duncanville are from long-held houses. City Hall and Armstrong Park sit on Wheatland Road, and the Duncanville Historical Park is inside the park. Duncanville ISD serves almost the whole city, and Duncanville High School has one of the largest high school campuses in the country by physical size. For a long-distance move, the highways are close. Interstate 20 crosses the northern part of the city for east–west trips, and US 67 runs through the eastern side. Green Van Lines has been a long-distance mover out of Dallas–Fort Worth since 2007 and was the first eco-friendly moving company in the US. Duncanville is about 21 miles from our Farmers Branch base.
